Explain how your Experience Affected you as a Person?
This project affected me in an emotional way. After I had completed every step of the pool opening process, I was so proud of myself and I was so unbelievably happy. I was smiling ear to ear thinking about all the amazing parties I would have.
How did you Change?
I didn't really change as a person, I just learned a lot of new things about the pool operating process and I also learned that my mom had put a lot of work into making our pool wonderful. I gained a generous amount of respect to her.
How do you see the World Differently as a Result of your Experience?
I see the world as a happier place. Everyone who comes over and swims always leave happy. Knowing that my friends had a good time due to my hard work makes me really happy, knowing that all the hard labor I put into this project was worth it.
How did this Experience Impact or Reveal your Character?
This project really brought out the real me. I am a happy person naturally, but after this summer, my happiness was clear as day. Hanging out with my friends every single day makes me so happy.
Was this a Meaningful Experience? Why or Why Not?
This project was very meaningful. I was successful in so many ways with this project. I tried something new, I accomplished my goals, I met new people and made new friends, and most importantly I made tons of wonderful memories that will last me a lifetime.
What new Knowledge or Skills did you Learn from this Experience?
As I have mentioned before in this website, I knew a few things about how to operate a pool. The technical things was where I struggled, but I was determined to figure it out because I wanted my pool to be perfect so the technicalities had to be perfect. I now know all there is about every device and its function for the pool process.
What would you do Differently if you were to Start Over?
I wouldn't change one thing about this experience. I think my mentor was extremely helpful and was there for me when I struggled or was confused. The physical pool opening wasn't too difficult. I learned about the pool technicalities. I swept the pool a lot to keep it clean and to maintain its clarity. All of the time and effort I put into this project made the end result worth it. So I absolutely wouldn't change one thing about this experience.
